I.A.M.U. (Independent Achievements for Minority Youth)—a grassroots, BIPOC, female-led nonprofit dedicated to uplifting at-risk youth and young adults in King, Pierce, and Thurston counties. Our mission is to provide mentorship, job readiness training, cultural enrichment, safe spaces, music programs, sex trafficking prevention and support, violence intervention, and critical re-entry services for youth transitioning out of detention, incarceration, and other systems.

At I.A.M.U., we strive to break cycles of violence, incarceration, and exploitation by offering consistent support, real-world skills, and positive alternatives that help youth build strong, sustainable futures.
